Ukraine
April 2nd, 3rd. and 4th
April 2nd.
Wednesday
Sunny and bright ...the weather is truly on our side and it's nice to see.
Sunny and bright ...the weather is truly on our side and it's nice to see.
Sasha called and will not come today but will help his Mother. He
will come to-night for meeting. He is troubled I believe, he told us he can't
sleep nights but with no explanation why not.
We took tracts and went to the corner which is very busy. My
wife and Volodia came back early but I stayed.
Tanya's mother, Natalia
came with one of her sons and got clothing. They were both very happy We took
them home and went to Natalia's mothers. Her Father died last year in August just
after we left. Had a nice visit but they were all very sad. They didn't
expect him to die but I was quite sure.I
wanted Tanya to come home from the Emirates to Ukraine after I returned for I knew he was
very sick.The sad thing is we don't know if he was saved. H e never came to
meeting but we talked to him very often on Salvation and being sure. One can
only labour and try as much as they can to tell those we come in contact with of
the WORK OF SALVATION FOR ALL.
On the way back we went to Baby's hospital and visited a Mom and her new baby. She was very very poor and was so happy to get the things we gave. The inspectors were still around and the Nurse informed us that the Head Doctor was told to take month of Holidays and then not to come back, job gone! The Head Nurse was worried as well. If you are not in the right party in the Government one can lose their job very quick. This is sad for the people and the Hospital as we had a nice contact with him for Hospital work. We will have to see what the Lord has in mind on this line of work.
We then came to Apartment and had supper, then Leanna and her daughter came. Leanna came
to meetings some but never her daughter. Then Danna, a German friend came with them too. They got some clothing. Then we went to Wednesday night meeting and had a great crowd of 31 again. Like to see a break but hard to get one along the way here. Tanya a nurse is coming to the meetings and came for visit after meeting. Volodia took two ladies home that are almost blind.

Day is over after some boxes picked out to load in the
morning for the mountains.
April
3rd. Thursday
Up early, then loaded the van with clothing and NT's for the Mountain school in Virhovina..
We left at 10 o’clock after getting gas and food for the trip and the stay in the Mountains. I've been staying over- night with the Prayer that a door will open to us there for a work to begin. The trip was long and rough but we finally arrived safe. The day was bright even though weather called for rain. It was great to see the children again.
The Government inspector was there, they are following me everywhere. Satan knows where you go and tries to hinder. Paul experienced this in his day too, and it still the same in our day. The Head teacher allowed us to speak to two classes even though he was still around. She had us eat in a special place and cooks brought us food.
The Lord is great for sure. We went to the same place to stay as before, a teacher has some nice rooms and had a nice relaxed time with her. She came and talked and it was great to talk. She showed us the washrooms that are now working and the Gymnasium that repairs was done to. She said the school would be closed if it was not for the help given by the Christians in Canada and the US. All government funds are totally cut of or frozen in the Bank.
April 4th Friday ....
We awoke with corn meal loaf and mountain tea.The lady we stayed with made it for us. Then went for a walk up the mountain, I had to go slow but made it after 30 min. The whole town is seen from there. Nice walk but rough going down,very steep.

Then went to school and had breakfast at the school with the
Principal. She was telling us she went to Poland on a tour with the Priest to see where the
Jews died in the Camp (at Auschwitz) and
then a special service of repentance. She had bad knees from getting down and
up 150 times it was connected with Lent and Fasting. Gave her the clothing
and school things we had for the school. Then gave her funds for the special
class for girls cooking They also started the wood working class for the Boys
we what we gave her last year.
Then went to the Baptist man in town Peter and
gave him 4 boxes of NT's, calendars and a few other things . H e was so
happy they could use some more full Bibles. It is nice to help him as he helps
5 groups in 5 different villages. To see the smile on his face is worth a
lot.
Then the long ride down the mountains and back to the city. A
little rest and then went to try to get my tract printed of my conversion. I
had it done in Russian in 2001 and got Volodia to do it in Ukrainian. But place
just closed so will have to wait. Then Leanna's friends came and got clothing
with Danna and two other ladies. They took almost 2 hours. Leanna and her
daughter came for supper. Need to be ready for meetings on Sunday in Lviv and
then Ivano Franksisk along the tired road.
Edmond is away for a month so nice to be in Lviv to help on Sunday.
Howard and Malcolm will be here on April 15 for a month. We have just a week left before leaving for home. We are labours together in this great harvest field. We feel so weak and frail but nice to know we can do all things through CHRIST which strengthened us, and the promise LOOK UP YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH.
